Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won the javelin throw event at the Commonwealth Games, giving his nation its first gold medal. Nadeem is the first Pakistani to ever make it to the Olympic final of a track event. With an 84.62m throw, he placed sixth in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
