has been launched by the company in Japan, after quietly introducing the 5G smartphone globally a few months ago. This device is, however, different from the global variant. The Japanese variant packs a 4,000mAh battery and sports a 5.8-inch HD+ TFT LCD and 50MP rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G is offered in three colour options: Red, White, and Black. It is available in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, priced at JPY 32,800 (around Rs 19,400). Samsung has not yet announced the launch of the Galaxy A23 5G in India or other regions.

The Japanese variant of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G sports a 5.8-inch TFT LCD display panel with an HD+ (1,560 x 720 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, it packs an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G57 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. It runs One UI 4.1 on top of Android 12. The Galaxy A23 5G packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging. However, the phone doesn’t come with an in-box charger.
The Galaxy A23 5G sports a single 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, the phone houses a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. In terms of design, the device resembles the Galaxy A23e
For connectivity, the Galaxy A23 features 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC
